HAMMOND | Police released surveillance photos Friday of two suspects who carjacked a man last week after he pumped gas into his vehicle.

The man had finished pumping gas at 3 a.m. May 2 at Luke Gas in the 5100 block of State Line Road when he was pushed to the ground by one of the suspects, Hammond police said.

The two suspects fled in the man's car, which was found Monday in the 400 block of Burnham Avenue in Calumet City, police said.

The owner of the car had swelling in his face and bruises from the attack. Police said he was not treated at the scene for his injuries.

The suspects are described as 5 feet and 9 inches tall to 6 feet tall, police said. Both weigh between 175 to 185 pounds and are believed to be from Illinois.

Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to call the Hammond Police Department at (219) 852-2906.
