HAMMOND | Police are looking for two men who allegedly tied up employees of a Woodmar business during an attempted armed robbery Monday night.
Employees at Gamestop in the 1800 block of 165th Street told police the two men entered the store at 8:30 p.m. and forced them at gunpoint into a back room where their hands were bound with duct tape.
The store's manager said the men ordered her to open the office safe, but one of her employees managed to escape the building and the two suspects fled empty-handed in a white Buick Rendezvous SUV.
No injuries were reported in the attempted robbery.
The gunman was described as a young black male wearing a red baseball cap, tan quilted jacket and black jeans displaying a black semi-automatic handgun.
His partner was described as a young black male wearing a black watch cap, gray hooded sweatshirt and khaki pants.
