HAMMOND | The Hammond Police Department is once again offering self defense training for women. The RAD system of Defense is a model program that has been taught nationwide.

The second 3-day class will be held from June 17 through June 19 from 7:30 to 8:45 p.m. It will be held at the Hammond YMCA, 7322 Southeastern Ave.

We have 12 slots free. The fee for the course (three classes) is $20.

To insure privacy, there will be no men in these classes, and no windows for men to watch. My instructors will be the only participating males. Call the YMCA at (219) 845-1507 for more information.
