HAMMOND | Three Hammond residents were charged in federal court with using counterfeit money, court records show.
An indictment charging Javorious D. Raggs, 21, Terrence D. Benson, 22, and Krystal Charne Puntillo-Raggs, 21, was unsealed Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Hammond.
The indictment alleges that numerous counterfeited $100, $50, $20, $10 and $5 were used.
Bianca Tucker and Duane Coleman also were charged in the indictment, but their ages and residences were not immediately available Wednesday.
Puntillo-Raggs, Raggs and Coleman had initial appearances Monday. Benson and Tucker had initial appearances Wednesday.
