The event has been formatted to show the students necessary steps to a successful career.
The INnovation Center will explain what lies ahead for students in terms of careers. They will explore skills and training needed for careers and entrepreneurship of the future and present resources that students can use in making career decisions.
With all the current technology at students’ fingertips, Creative Solutionz Inc. will explain “Social Media Responsibility.”
“Technology, while convenient, is also a responsibility that can directly affect (students') futures. Social networking is viewed by many as simply fun and an outlet to do and say what they want; however, businesses are viewing it much more seriously and utilizing that information to assess potential employees,” said Lourdes Castellanos, owner of Creative Solutionz Inc.
Art Russell, vice president at Centier Bank, will explain the bank’s history and the benefits of entrepreneurship, as important now as it was 118 years ago when Henry Schrage opened his bank.
“This program will prepare a new generation workforce for a dynamic future,” said Mike Schrage, Centier Bank president and CEO. “Our goal is to empower students with a better understanding of what it will take to be successful in light of new technology, social media, and other factors that will affect their future job performance.”
