HAMMOND | The Bishop Noll Institute Theater Department will kick off its 2013-14 theater season by presenting “The Breakfast Club,” based on the 1984 classic film.

Performances are set for 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and Nov. 8, 9, 15 and 16 in the BNI Theater Room, 1519 Hoffman St.

Tickets are $7 for adults, $6 for students, and $5 for senior citizens, available in front of the theater on performance nights or in advance by calling (219) 932-9058.

The production will feature a cast of 17 students, including Israel Rivera and Victor Cruz sharing the role of Andrew Clark. Several other BNI students will also be sharing roles at alternating performances.

"The Breakfast Club" is a classic comedy/drama that tells the story of five teenagers, each of a different social clique, who spend a Saturday in detention discovering they have more in common than they think.
