U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Kent Lindquist received the highest rating of nine federal judges and magistrates who work in Lake County, according to a survey by the Lake County Bar Association.

The bar association asked lawyers who live and practice in Lake County to anonymously rate the judges on a scale of one to 10 in three areas: competence, temperament and character. The survey is conducted every year following a presidential election.

Lindquist received a 9.22 overall rating, which is considered a rating of exceptionally well-qualified, according to survey results provided by the bar association. U.S. District Court Magistrate Judge Andrew Rodovich received the second-highest overall rating, at 9.17.

U.S. District Court Senior Judge James Moody received the lowest rating, at 6.79, which is considered a rating of qualified, according to the survey results. Judge Rudy Lozano received the second-lowest rating, at 6.97.

None of the officials could be reached late Monday for comment.
