HAMMOND | A Latin King gang member was sentenced in Hammond federal court Thursday, a day after a fellow gang member received 30 years in prison.
Antonio “Chronic” Gudino, of East Chicago, was sentenced to 14 years, seven months in prison after pleading guilty to conspiring to participate in racketeering activity.
A drug charge against Gudino was dismissed by the government at sentencing, federal court records show.
Earlier this week, Brandon “Cheddar” Clay, of Chicago, was sentenced on the same charge as Gudino. Clay had been charged with murdering two men at the Soprano's Restaurant and Lounge in Griffith in 2007. However, murder charges against Clay were dropped at sentencing.
