National College Funding Service hiring agents to find scholarships for families
HAMMOND | Risel Maldonado takes his job as the regional marketing director for National College Funding Service, 7109 Colorado Ave., very seriously.
He is proud to point out the fact that his children are college educated and it's not because of his wealth, but because of his determination to find the financial means to give his children "options."
Maldonado now shares that expertise and works with families and students to plan a college education at the lowest possible cost regardless of income.
"Education is not only important, but essential," said Maldonado. "I love what I do because the biggest reason for college dropouts is not because they can't handle the workload, but they can't handle the finances. National College Funding Service can and will help."
Working out of his basement, Maldonado has overcome some health issues and is now looking for assistance to help families and students with resources.
National College Funding Service provides a planned-path at no cost or fee to the student or parent and is now looking for agents to assist in the process.
"It's a very rewarding job and there is a wonderful fulfillment in helping families with a road map," said Maldonado. "We don't charge a penny and we allow parents to keep saving for retirement and enable students to fulfill their dreams without becoming overwhelmed with student loans."
