HAMMOND | The Orak Shrine Circus open to a four-day run Thursday at the Hammond Civic Center.
The 2013 edition of the circus features an original new score, new costumes and new acts.
Shows are at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. 3 and 7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m., 3 and 7 p.m. Sunday.
Gates open one hour before the show starts for a pre-party, where guests are allowed to meet the performers or ride the elephants.
Tickets are $18 for adults and $14 for children for general admission seating. Reserved seats are $20. "Buy one ticket, get one child ticket" coupons are available for general admission seating.
Children who are not 3 years old are admitted free of charge but must sit in a parent's lap.
