HAMMOND | Donations are being accepted until Monday for the Our Family Center and its Gift of Hope holiday drive.
The center provides gas cards, gift cards for family outings, family Christmas photos and more to at-risk families in Hammond, East Chicago and Whiting.
The center provides free home budgeting or parenting courses. Parents must attend at least one class to receive the services.
The center needs donations of toys, games or small electronics for children to 17 years old, sweaters or hoodies for teens and adults, family board games, gifts for parents or guardians such as household items, watches, health and beauty supplies, fast-food gift cards of $10, $20 or $25, or monetary donations.
Donations should be taken to Our Family Center, 820 171st St., Hammond, by Dec. 12. Donors are asked to call (219) 852-4967 to schedule a drop-off time. Gifts will be distributed Saturday.
