HAMMOND | Beatles Fest 2013 organizers announced they will partner with Lake Area United Way to support community improvement.
Jeremy Miller, United Way board chair, said funds raised through the event will go directly to activities to improve education, financial stability and health in Lake County.
“Eight years in, Beatles Fest has become one of the fast-growing all-ages outdoor music festivals in Chicagoland,” Miller said. “It’s a fun, family-oriented event, and we’re honored to be the beneficiary.”
Beatles Fest is set for 4 to 11 p.m. Aug. 10 in downtown Hammond. The festival will feature seven bands, a beer and margarita garden, food tents, merchandise and a Beatles-inspired magic show.
John Vezmar, organizer of Beatles Fest, said a portion of every ticket sold will benefit Lake Area United Way.
