HAMMOND | A Sauk Village man was sentenced to nearly five years in prison Friday in U.S. District Court in Hammond for his role in a heroin dealing ring.

Marcus “Moe” McCant was indicted in 2011 for conspiracy to distribute narcotics, federal court records show.

U.S. District Judge Rudy Lozano sentenced McCant to four years and nine months in prison, along with five years of supervised release, court records state.

McCant pleaded guilty to the charge in December 2011.
