HAMMOND | Robert Binford, of Crown Point, and Nolan Mancera, of Schererville, have been elected president and vice president, respectively, of the Purdue University Calumet Student Government Association for the 2014-15 academic year. Elected to the Student Senate are: Cristina Tuazon, of Hammond, and Maria Melero, of Calumet City, Ill., representing the College of Business; Chris Ashbrooks, of Crown Point, College of Engineering, Mathematics and Science; Jacob Zatorsk,i of Crown Point, and Kenneth Hamilton Jr., of Chicago, Ill., College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences; Eryn Schweiger, of Dyer, College of Nursing; Derrek Nelson, of Hammond, at-large commuter; and Sophia Sweet, of Camden, SC, and Norovsuren Chinbat, of Schererville, at-large residential.
