CALUMET CITY | Three men admitted to police they broke into a Calumet City home after an investigator allegedly caught them loading a vehicle with items from the home Tuesday, police said.
Marcus J. Clark, Prince Jamal White and Dantrell Deanderson were charged with felony residential burglary on Wednesday, Calumet City Police Capt. Dan Zorzi said.
Clark, 17, of Hammond, was charged as an adult and was taken into police custody with White, 21, of Calumet City and Deanderson, 19, of Chicago, on Tuesday in the 600 block of Ingrahm Avenue.
A detective was working on a special detail in connection to several recent burglaries in the city and saw one of the men allegedly loading items into a vehicle from an open garage door around 10 a.m. Tuesday, Zorzi said.
Police found the home had been broken into and ransacked, he said.
