HAMMOND | Authorities arrested two women in Hammond on Friday on charges of illegally selling prescription narcotics, federal court records show.

Arrest warrants were served on Mary Lederleitner and Shannon Meegan, each of whom faces federal indictments on two charges of distributing hydrocodone, a prescription painkiller also known as Vicodin, according to records on file in U.S. District Court, Hammond.

Lederleitner and Meegan sold the drugs sometime between January 2006 and August 2012, the indictment alleges.
