HAMMOND | The Challenger Learning Center will teach students the science and physics of walking in space at Underwater Astronaut Training Camp.
Sessions are from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday and July 29 and 30.
Students ages 11 through 14 will train with a certified scuba instructor in using scuba gear to simulate walking on the moon. Students will also learn about density, buoyancy, astronaut training and other scientific lessons.
