HAMMOND | High school students, their parents, prospective transfer students and others who are interested in learning more about obtaining a Purdue education at Purdue University Calumet are invited to attend a View Purdue Calumet visitation program and open house, Saturday, Nov. 10 at 9:30 a.m. in the university’s Student Union & Library.
The program is designed to provide an overview of Purdue Calumet. Attendees will have an opportunity to meet with academic advisors, faculty and staff members, as well as learn about admission qualifications, financial aid availability, academic scholarships, campus life, career services and Purdue Calumet’s innovative experiential learning initiative in which each student applies traditional classroom and textbook learning to a work-related, real world environment.
A campus tour also is scheduled, including live demonstrations in the Dept. of Construction Science and Organizational Leadership and a stop at Purdue Calumet’s apartment style, student residential community, The University Village. Student-athletes interested in continuing their sports careers at the university level also can meet with a university athletics representative.
