HIGHLAND | A motorist exiting the Borman Expressway on the southbound Cline Avenue ramp careened across all lanes of traffic causing a three-car collision, Lake County Sheriff's spokesman Patti Van Til said Friday.
The vehicle was stopped when it hit the wall at the site, she said.
Police were called to the scene about 8 p.m., which closed traffic in the vincinity of the ramp and Cline Avenue.
Van Til said alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the wreck, which injured the couple in the car that caused the collision.
The unidentified couple was transported to Methodist Hospital Northlake for treatment, she said.
