A popular religious program for young adults returns to Northwest Indiana this month when Catholic churches in Crown Point and Highland host Theology On Tap.
Theology On Tap is a four-week speaker series in which young adults - single or married, in their 20’s and 30’s - are invited to hear speakers on a variety of religious topics.
In Highland, a group of young adult leaders from Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church hosts Theology On Tap on four consecutive Sunday evenings at 6:30 p.m. July 14, 21, 28 and Aug. 4, in the Our Lady of Grace School Cafeteria, 3025 Highway Ave.
Admission is free. Food and beverages will be served. It is the 11th year that Our Lady of Grace has hosted the Highland program, and participants are welcome to come early for the church’s 5:30 p.m. Mass.
In Crown Point, a group from St. Mary Catholic Church hosts Theology On Tap on four consecutive Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m., July 17, 24, 31 and Aug. 7 at Crown Brewing, 211 S. East St.
Admission is free. Food and beverages will be served. It is the seventh year that St. Mary has hosted the program.
Speakers and participants at the Highland series will discuss topics including searching for a calling in life, why a person should attend church, finding God in all things, and emotionally intelligent relationships. At Crown Point, series participants will explore spirituality and technology, friendships, Catholic signs and symbols, and Vatican II.
