HIGHLAND | Two Highland High School students were removed from a school bus Wednesday afternoon after getting into a fight, officials said.
The bus driver stopped on Erie Street near East 41st Street and called police, Highland police Cmdr. George Georgeff said. The two girls were in police custody, but charges were pending Wednesday evening.
Georgeff said officers were still sorting out the details of the fight. The two girls did not have weapons, he said. There were no reported injuries.
Gary Sutton, director of pupil services for the School Town of Highland, said he did not know the ages of the students.
He said the bus resumed its normal route after the two students were escorted off the bus by police.
