HOBART | The city's Fire Department has returned an ambulance and two cross-trained firefighters to staff it to Fire Station No. 2, city officials said Friday.
The change, effective Friday, will make the ambulance available from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Fire Station No. 2, 2411 W. Old Ridge Road, said Bob Fulton, Mayor Brian Snedecor's chief of staff.
Those hours reflect the greatest demand for ambulance services, officials said.
The ambulance had previously been located at Fire Station No. 1, 400 E. 10th St.
Fire Station No. 1 recently received a new advanced life support engine.
Hobart now has three ambulances available for emergencies.
