HOBART | The National Association of Letter Carriers branch of Crown Point, Lowell and Hobart will be collecting nonperishable food items on Saturday for the Letter Carrier Stamp Out Hunger food drive.

The items will be distributed to local food banks.

Locally, post offices participating are Crown Point, DeMotte, Valparaiso, Michigan City and Wheatfield.

Examples of nonperishables include canned soup, canned meats and fish, canned vegetables, fruits and juices, boxed goods, pasta and rice.
