HOBART | Crossroads Regional Chamber of Commerce held its annual Holiday Installation and Awards Luncheon at Avalon Manor to recognize the involvement of chamber members and welcome incoming board directors.
"The chamber works for the betterment of Northwest Indiana businesses and communities by promoting economic development, quality business practices, a voice in public policy, and civic pride," said Sue Reed, president/CEO. "With a membership of 700 businesses and 1,400 representatives, the success of this chamber of commerce depends on the active involvement of its members."
Receiving the 2013 Landscape and Architectural Awards were Bapple & Bapple, Inc. CPA’s, Centier Bank Crown Point, City of Crown Point Sportsplex, and Lake County Public Library.
Chairman of the Board Award recipients included Kelly Dooley with Nightingale Home Health Care, Shirley Dunn with Allstate Insurance, attorney Kent Jeffirs, Shawn Pettit with the Town of Merrillville, Michael White with Indiana Wesleyan University, and Mary Wright with Horizon Bank.
The Distinguished Service Award went to Skip Bosak with Bosak Chrysler Jeep Dodge.
The Ambassador of the Year Award was accepted by Trudy Tarpo of St. Matthias Catholic Church.
Outgoing board members were presented with the Board of Director Service Awards: Karen Orosz with Ivy Tech Community College Northwest and Andrew Kyres with First Financial Bank.
Corporate Partners of the chamber include Methodist Hospitals, Horizon Bank, Centier Bank, Citizens Bank, Towne Centre Retirement Community and Peoples Bank.
