HOBART | Two men were charged with burglary and theft from a Hobart towing company and transmission shop, police said.
Bobby Joe Hooten Jr., 23, of Hobart, and Shane Trentity Lee Woodruff, 25, of Phoenix, were charged in Lake Superior Court with one count of burglary, two counts of theft and two counts of criminal mischief.
Woodruff also was charged with one count of receiving stolen property.
Police were called Oct. 10 by the owner of I-65 Transmission about a break-in and theft of a factory-built navigator unit, court documents state.
Before that incident, a break-in also was reported at an adjacent business, Samson's Towing, court documents state.
Surveillance photos were captured of the truck driven by the two suspects, and those photos were published in The Times, police said.
Police were able to link the ownership of the truck in the surveillance photo and then the break-ins and thefts to Hooten and Woodruff, court documents state.
