HOBART | Has cabin fever got you down? Are you looking for relief? If comedy is the best medicine, plan to defeat the winter blues by attending an evening that promises laughter, dinner, and an opportunity to support vital services provided by a local organization.
Stand Up For St. Jude House takes place Thursday at Avalon Manor, 3550 E. U.S. 30.
The evening begins with cocktails at 6 p.m., followed by dinner and entertainment beginning at 7. Along with dinner and the comedy show, a silent auction will also be held.
Tickets are $85 each and all proceeds support programming at St. Jude House. To purchase tickets or for more information, contact Veronica Castellanos at (219) 662-7066, ext. 14.
St. Jude House has been providing services to victims of both domestic violence and sexual assault since 1995 in Crown Point. All services, both residential and nonresidential, are available to women, children, and men from Lake County and surrounding communities.
