Dine on wild game at Saturday's benefit in Hobart

A Wild Game Dinner will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday at County Line Orchard, 200 S. County Line Road, Hobart. Proceeds help support Rebuilding Together, Wounded Warrior Project, Pink Ribbon Connection and the Hobart Food Pantry.

The menu features fish, frog legs, salmon, venison, buffalo, turkey and more. Donation is $25 per person Tickets are available at the Hobart Chamber of Commerce, 1001 Lillian St. Call Mike Adams at (219) 942 5774 for more information.

Auxilians meet in Hobart

The American Legion Auxiliary First District meeting will be held at 7 p.m. today at Hobart American Legion Post 54, 208 S. Linda St.

Alumni host dance

Come to “Dancing Thru The Decades” scholarship fundraiser March 2 at Rosser Hall, 1421 W. 37th Ave., Hobart,.

Sponsored by the Hobart High School Alumni Association, tickets are $20 individually and $35 per couple and are available in the administration office at Hobart High School or at the door.

Tickets include a sandwich and beverage. A cash bar will be available. Doors open at 7 p.m., with dancing from 8 to 11 p.m. All proceeds will be used for scholarships.

Sell at summer market

Applications are being accepted for Hobart’s Summer Market on the Lake, sponsored by the City of Hobart Special Events office.

The market will take place from 3 to 8 p.m. every Thursday, June 6 through Sept. 26, in Festival Park, 111 E. Old Ridge Road, Hobart. Applications and rules are available at www.cityofhobart.org and in the Special Events office at 414 Main St.

Lenten worship

A community Lenten worship service, “20 Minutes with God,” will be held at 12:05 p.m. Mondays during Lent, through March 18, at First United Methodist Church at 654 E. Fourth St., Hobart.

Each 20-minute service will be followed by a soup lunch at 12:30 p.m. A free will offering will be collected at the luncheon for the Hobart Food Pantry. The March 11 speaker is chaplain Jim Stoel of St. Mary Medical Center, and the final speaker March 18 is Pastor Roy Richardson of Hobart Church of the Nazarene.

Chocolate for Easter

The St. Mary Medical Center Auxiliary will sell South Bend Chocolate treats in time for Easter, from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. March 19 at the hospital's West Entrance conference room 3-A, 1500 S. lake Park Ave., Hobart.

“Captured in Time” is the very first juried photography exhibit hosted by the Hobart Arts League, 3850 Howard St., Hobart.

Open only to photographers, download the prospectus at www.hobartarts.com. Entry deadline is April 15, and the exhibit will be open from May 5 to 31.
