HOBART | The Early Learning Center celebrated the National Association for the Education of the Young Child's (NAEYC) month of April, coined as the Month of the Young Child.
Festivities began with a Bubble celebration that invited kindergarteners, parents, teachers administrators and Mayor Brian Snedecor to fill the parking lot with bubble magic.
"This is a great opportunity to celebrate our children," said Sara Gutierrez, ELC principal. "This is such a fun month and the community support is great. After all, they are our most treasured resources."
Events such as puppet shows, dress ups honoring their favorite movie characters, game days and even Zumba fun and a Tuesday Twist contest took place at ELC.
Mayor Snedecor started the month of celebration with a proclamation from the city.
"We all value education and we are here today to show our support for our schools and most of all, our children," said Mayor Snedecor.
