A Lake Station woman told police her former husband, who was extremely intoxicated, had broken into a house on Mississippi Street in Hobart and had taken a safe from it.

Police checked the back of the woman's pickup truck, as she instructed, and found a safe that had been taken from the house on Mississippi Street.

The former wife also discovered marijuana inside a cooler Stoica had been carrying and threw it into the yard of a person she knew in Lake Station, court documents state.
