Former Hobart couple accused of having sex with young girl
CROWN POINT | A topless dancer and her then-boyfriend are facing a maximum 50-year sentence for allegedly having oral sex with a child beginning when the girl was 5 years old.
The couple admitted to having sex with the child, who also was forced into performing oral sex with other men the woman brought into the house, according to a probable cause affidavit filed Thursday.
Charged with a Class A felony punishable by between 20 and 50 years in prison are Rebecca Hristodoulou, 34, now of Gary, and William E. Strang, 30, now of Burbank, Ill., according to the affidavit.
Strang is alleged to have admitted to having oral sex with the child six or seven times. Strang told police he lived with the woman and child for about 18 months in Hobart before moving out sometime in December 2009.
According to the affidavit, Child Protective Services removed the child, now 9 years old, from the home in March 2010.
Hristodoulou told police she had seen two acts of oral sex between Strang and the child but didn't remember the rest. Admitting to being addicted to crack cocaine, Hristodoulou told police she was "high for much of the time period" involved.
Charging documents put the time period between Jan. 1, 2008, and March 31, 2010.
