HOBART | A 33-year-old Gary woman allegedly stole a truck and a wallet from a man after the two had sexual relations at a Hobart motel, police said.
Jewatha M. Pierce was charged Wednesday with auto theft, theft and false informing through Lake Superior Court.
A man told police that on Nov. 8 he went to the Dollar Inn in Hobart to have sexual relations with a woman he met in Gary, court documents state.
The man said he took a shower at the hotel then stepped out to find his wallet missing and the woman he had met driving away with his truck, court documents state.
Pierce, who initially told police her name was Latisha Bryant, was identified by the man in a photo lineup, court documents state.
