“The Region Remembers: WWII,” a video presentation of 20 interviews with Northwest Indiana veterans, will be presented at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 6 at American Legion Post 54, 208 S. Linda St., Hobart.
 
Group discussion and refreshments will be included.
All veterans, their families and the general public are invited. Former Post Commander Bob Hamady is looking forward to welcoming a large crowd to this important event. Call Bob at (219) 736-9782 with any questions.

As a follow-up, The Times Media Company is conducting video interviews with Korean Conflict veterans. If you would like to tell your story from the war, email Ross at doug.ross@nwi.com, leaving your name, address and phone number.

Auxiliary hosts Holly Bazaar

St. Mary Medical Center Auxiliary will hold its annual Holly Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday in the West Lobby by the Gift Shop at 1500 Lake Park Ave., Hobart. Homemade items will include Christmas décor, aprons, baby items, scarves, doll clothes and more.

Chocolates and trees

Hobart Garden Club members decorated a Victorian Christmas tree available for auction at Cho-O-Lots & Festival of Trees from 4 to 10 p.m. Nov. 8 at Old Town Banquet Center, 711 Calumet Ave., Valparaiso.

Tickets are $10 per person or $20 per family (up to two adults and three children). Sponsored by the American Red Cross and Valparaiso Sunrise Kiwanis, guests will sample chocolate items from vendors. For tickets, call Jim Pavelka at (219) 942-6793.

Garden club meets

Hobart Garden Club meets at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 14 at the Maria Reiner Social Room, Krull Tower, 1st Floor, 206 Main St., Hobart. Hostesses will be HGC President Jennifer Stickley and member Linda Coleman. Guests are welcome.

"Dolly" on stage

"Hello Dolly!" will be presented by the Hobart High School Performing Arts Department at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 15, 16, 22 and 23 at the Hobart High School Performing Arts Center, 2211 E. 10th St. A 3 p.m. matinee is planned for Nov. 17.

Afternoon of trivia

Answer’s Afternoon of Trivia, sponsored by The Answer for Pregnancy Aid Inc., 705 Colonial Drive, will be held at noon Nov. 23 at Festival Park Community Center, 111 E. Old Ridge Road, Hobart. Lunch, vendors with holiday wares, raffles and 50/50 included.

Vendors welcome

St. Bridget Church will host its annual Soup & Salad Luncheon & Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 13 in the Parish Hall, 568 E. Second St., Hobart.

Get luncheon tickets

Tickets are only available until Thursday for the annual Hobart Tri Kappa Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at Avalon Manor, 3550 E. U.S. 30, Hobart.

The University of Notre Dame Glee Club a cappella group, The Undertones, will perform.
