HOBARTÂ | Hobart police canine officers Scott Shaginaw and Simon Gresser received an Award of Excellence from firefighters during a recent Board of Public Works meeting.
The two officers are credited with rescuing a dog from an apartment during a Sept. 9 fire.
Renters of the second floor apartment weren't home at the time of the fire and the two officers rescued the dog, Fire Chief Brian Taylor said.
