HOBART | Police are seeking help in identifying a woman who allegedly used a stolen credit card while shopping at Target on U.S. 30.
The suspect, whose image was captured in a surveillance photo, used the credit card to charge some $200 in merchandise at the Target store, police Detective James Gonzales said.
The holder of the credit card contacted police Sept. 9 after she discovered her change purse had been taken from her while she was dining at a local restaurant.
The stolen credit card was used to make a 1:30 p.m. purchase at the Target store, Gonzales said.
The suspect is described as a heavy-set black woman in her early to mid-30s with dark hair. She was wearing jeans, a light jacket and a bright multicolor shirt.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Gonzales at (219) 942-1125, ext. 1114.
