HOBART | Hobart police and fire officials suspect arson in a fire that destroyed two trailers owned by the Hobart Jaycees, police said.

The fire was reported at 3:15 a.m. on Sunday, police Detective David Evans said.

Evans said the trailers had been stored in a lot near the Family Express on the northeast corner of Lake Park Avenue and Old Ridge Road.

Preliminary investigation indicates someone broke windows of the trailers then threw something inside which ignited furniture stored inside, Evans said.

Evans said he's uncertain of the monetary value of the trailers and their content.

He said he believes juveniles are responsible, but no arrests have been made.

The incident remains under investigation.
