Hobart High School, 2211 E. 10th St., will host its Spring Choral Concert at at 6 p.m. today. Both the Advanced and Intermediate choirs will perform under the direction of Vocal Music Director Dean Wolff, who promises a wide variety of music, from Mozart to modern pop, with a little Andrews Sisters thrown in.
Also included will be performances by ensembles Mystique and Wolffgang.
This is a free event for Hobart senior citizens, with appetizers served at 5 p.m. Reservations are requested; call the Senior Hotline at (219) 942-2183.
The interfaith “20 Minutes for God” series continues Monday with Pastor Roy Richardson of Hobart Church of the Nazarene speaking from 12:05 to 12:25 p.m., followed by a soup lunch at 12:30 at First United Methodist Church, 654 E. Fourth St. (across from the Maria Reiner Center).
A freewill offering for lunch will be donated to the Hobart Food Pantry.
Play bean bags
“Bean bags” is a popular pastime in northwest Indiana and Hobart American Legion Post 54 invites interested individuals to play every Monday (except on the third Monday of each month). Practice opens at 6:30 p.m., with tournament play at 7. Experienced and novice players are invited to join in the fun.
Feed body and soul
Mark your calendar to enjoy an Italian Beef meal at the Hobart Arts League from 1 to 4 p.m. March 29 at 3850 Howard St., Hobart. The building is handicapped accessible, and free parking is available.
Meal will include an Italian beef sandwich with toppings, chips, a drink and dessert for a donation of $7 for adults and $4 for children 9 and younger. Extra desserts will be available to feed your sweet tooth for an extra donation. Carryouts are also available.

Bring your quarters
The Hobart Little League will hold a Quarter Auction on Sunday at Main Gym, 705 E. Fourth St., Hobart. Doors open at noon; auction will start at 1:30 p.m.
This promises to be a fun-filled afternoon and profits from the auction will help fund the 2014 baseball season. No auction experience is necessary; just bring a roll or two of quarters to support a good cause.
Admission is $5.

April events to look forward to include a “Bark & Meow” Vendor & Craft Show on April 13 to benefit the Humane Society of Hobart and the Spring concert of the Hobart Area Concert Band on April 27.
