HOBART | Carrie Buhmann, a junior at Hobart High School, has been honored for her exemplary volunteer service by receiving the President’s Volunteer Service Award.

The award, which recognizes American’s of all ages who have volunteered significant amounts of their time to serve their communities and their country, was granted by the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program on behalf of President Barack Obama. Carrie graciously has volunteered over 600 hours of her time to serving others.

The School City of Hobart is extremely proud of Carrie and her remarkable contribution to the community.
