HOBART | A 37-year-old Hobart man stole cash from his mother's online computer account, police said.

Joseph Alan Bobrowski was charged with theft through Lake County court.

Police on March 22 were contacted by Bobrowski's mom about the theft of $265 from her PayPal account, court documents state.

The woman said Bobrowski, who works for her at her at-home online business, was the only one who knew her login information, court documents state.

A girlfriend of Bobrowski told police they had been out drinking and Bobrowski had asked to transfer money from his mother's PayPal account to hers because he needed cash, court documents state.

Bobrowski admitted to police about being out with his girlfriend but denied being involved with transferring the money, court documents state.
