HOBART | A 27-year-old Hobart man burglarized a Hobart home then stole the resident's truck to use for his getaway, police said.

Jeremy Zamarron was charged with burglary and auto theft through Lake Criminal court.

Police were called to the 2600 block of West Old Ridge Road on June 20 by a resident who reported a home burglary and the theft of his truck, court documents state.

The resident told police someone had broken into his house and stolen a jar of coins, numerous tools, jewelry and other miscellaneous items.

The resident on June 25 said he was on his way to the police department when he spotted his 2004 Ford truck parked in the 200 block of Center Street.

Police were tipped about who stole the truck by a woman whose boyfriend was an acquaintance of Zamarron.

The boyfriend told police Zamarron had admitted stealing the truck and burglarizing the home in the 2600 block of West Old Ridge Road.
