PORTAGE | A Hobart man was injured early Monday after losing control of his pickup truck on eastbound Interstate 94 and rolling the vehicle over a concrete barrier wall, police said.
Indiana State Police said the 58-year-old Hobart man was driving a 1998 Ford Ranger about half a mile west of the Portage exit at 4:48 a.m. when he was cut off by another vehicle.
The man lost control of the pickup, went off the road and rolled the vehicle over the concrete barrier wall separating the eastbound and westbound lanes of the expressway. The truck came to rest on the westbound side of I-94, police said.
The man was taken to a hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries. The pickup was totaled.
The left westbound lane was closed until just before 5 a.m.
