Hobart man trapped under his car is treated for injuries
HOBART | Police rescued a 22-year-old Hobart man after he became trapped under his car Tuesday night.
Paul Pester, who was injured during the incident, was transported to St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart.
An update on Pester's condition wasn't available, Lt. Jack Grennes said.
Police were dispatched at 9:30 p.m. to 20 N. Illinois St. regarding a report of a person trapped under a car.
Police tried to push the car off Pester, but were only able to do so for a short distance because of its position. They were then able to lift the vehicle up and pull Pester free.
According to a witness, it appears Pester got out of his car near his house and the car started rolling down a slope on the driveway.
Pester attempted to stop the car by positioning himself near the front bumper, but lost balance, causing the car to roll on top of him, police said.
