HOBART | Two Hobart men allegedly attacked a disabled 67-year-old woman with a knife then robbed her while she was walking her dog, police said.
Craig Poturalski, 21, and Brandon Aguilera, also known as Brandon Poturalski, 28, were charged Thursday in Lake Superior Court with two counts of robbery and two counts of battery.
The woman told police she was out walking her dog Tuesday in the area of 38th Avenue and Roche Street when two men came from the woods and asked her for a cigarette.
After the woman told them she didn't have a cigarette, she said one of the men grabbed her hair and held a knife to her throat and demanded money.
When she told them she did not have any money, one of the men pulled one of her gold earrings from her ear then slashed the knife down the front of her shirt, cutting it.
The woman, who walks with a cane because of a disability, said she then was struck in the back and she fell.
After she screamed, the two men left and the woman said she managed to return home.
The woman, who was treated at Porter hospital in Portage, later provided police with a description of the two men and she was able to identify them in a photo lineup.
