HOBART | The Hobart Board of Works agreed Wednesday to renew a rental lease agreement with the Hobart Jaycees on a monthly basis.
The Jaycees, which two years ago moved into the city-owned building at 18 E. Old Ridge Road, will continue to occupy it per an agreement with city officials.
As part of the agreement, the Jaycees will pay $1 a year and also pay for utilities and maintenance.
The city-owned building had formerly been used by the Hobart Park Department, now headquartered in the newly built Community Center, 111 E. Old Ridge Road.
Mayor Brian Snedecor said the city wants a month-to-month agreement because future plans include possible demolition of the building to provide additional parking for city events.
