A retired Bethlehem Steel electrician from Hobart is $200,000 richer thanks to a winning ticket from the Hoosier Lottery.
"It's surreal," Philip Washko said in a statement issued Thursday by the Hoosier Lottery. "If you've never had that kind of money, you don't know what to do. I'm going to think about it. I've always been a frugal person."
Washko matched all five numbers on the Aug. 13 Mix and Match drawing.
Washko was an electrician for 32 years and retired in 2003. He said he wants to "think on it a bit" before making any purchases.
"It's a life-changer," he said. "It's not a million, but it's going to change everything."
