HOBART | A 32-year-old Hobart man was stabbed in the neck by his roommate after an apparent disagreement fueled by alcohol, police said.

Police were called to the 1400 block of West 3rd Street at 10:30 p.m. Saturday by a man who said he had been stabbed with a knife by his 58-year-old roommate.

The victim, who was found by police upstairs in the bedroom, was conscious and alert, police said.

The victim was transported by ambulance to St. Mary Medical Center for treatment of his wounds which required numerous stitches, police Detective Sgt. Jeremy Ogden said.

The suspect, who fled from the house, was taken into police custody.

The incident remains under investigation. No charges have been filed, Ogden said.
