HOBART | The city of Hobart has established warming centers for Hobart residents seeking relief from the extreme cold.

The city has opened warming centers at Fire House No. 4, 7710 S. Colorado St. and the Hobart Police Department, 705 E. 4th St.

The Hobart branch of the Lake County Public Library, 100 Main St., is open to all Lake County residents from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Senior citizens can also go to the Maria Reiner Center, 705 E. 4th St., during cold weather emergencies.

The center is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Anyone with special needs should contact Hobart police dispatch at (219) 942-1125 then press 1.
