HOBART | A 34-year-old Hobart woman stole a bicycle then sold it to a local shop for $10, police said.
Amie M. Frey was charged with theft through the Lake Criminal court on Thursday.
Police on Aug. 30 were called by a Hobart resident who said her pink Huffy bicycle had been stolen from her home earlier in the summer.
The woman said she didn't immediately report it stolen but noticed it for sale as she was driving past Borowski's Auto.
One of the owners at Borowski's told police Frey had brought in the bike for sale and had even provided a copy of her driver's license during the transaction.
Frey, the daughter of Lake County Coroner Merrilee Frey, was charged last month in connection to other crimes in Hobart including stealing items from four vehicles.
Frey, who is on probation following her conviction for trespassing at her mother's home in Winfield, was also linked to a home burglary in Hobart, police said.
