HOBART | Hobart Family YMCA is implementing a series of healthy eating and physical activity standards in all of its preschool and after school programs.
The new standards will be officially launched at an open house beginning at 5 p.m. Thursday in the cafeteria at Joan Martin Elementary School, 301 E. 10th St.
The new program is part of a nationwide commitment to combat childhood obesity and ensure that all those who participate in YMCA programs live a healthier, balanced life.
The Hobart Family YMCA will partner with St. Mary Medical Center and the School City of Hobart to implement the new standards.
The public is invited to the open house.
