HOBART | Find out more about Heart Health at a seminar from 11:30 am to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Hobart Family YMCA, 601 W. 40th Place.
The seminar, presented by cardiologist Anas Safadi, MD of St. Mary Medical Center, is part of the Just Older Youth Fellowship Luncheon.
“Heart health is a very important topic and we are committed to educating our members and the community on how to live a healthy, happy life,” said Sharon Tarry, program director at the YMCA.
“We have loads of fun, too,” said Tarry. “Each month we celebrate birthdays, laugh and have door prizes.”
A light, nutritious lunch will be served.
Fee is $3 for those bringing a dessert to share and a canned good for the Hobart Food Pantry; $5 for those bringing a canned good only; and $6 with no donation. To register, call (219) 942-2183.
“Many cardiovascular conditions, including venous insufficiency and high blood pressure, are treatable and patients can go on to live normal, healthy lives,” Safadi said.
