HOBART | Joan Martin Elementary school is having it's annual food drive. Miss Sieffert the student council head person is in charge of taking student council officers to prepare baskets for family in need. Miss Sieffert said, "I feel it is great to give back to the community and give food to the needy especially in this time of the year."

This is the first year Miss Sieffert is running student council. Miss Sieffert hopes to collect a tone of food. Miss sieffert hopes to make this year for her the best for this being the first time running student council. Students can bring in non-perishable items helping in creating the food baskets. These bags will go to the families that need help through the holidays. This is a great way to help the people in our community who don't have all the things we do.

The fifth graders at Joan Martin Elementary have decorated bags for all the food items to go in. They have made them as happy as they could. The student council has gone out shopping for extra items so that they can fill all of the bags the fifth graders have decorated. Every one is hoping that these families are going to have a great Christmas.
